Before you host
Free in beta · free account needed. During beta, accounts receive Pro access free: up to 30 players and unlimited sessions. No payment card is required. Guest hosts use the Free game list, up to 8 players and 2 sessions per week on this browser. The engine requires at least 2 players to start this game. Recommended group sizes describe the experience, not a plan entitlement; the host’s plan sets the room limit, including the host.
Participants join with a room code and display name; no account or download is required. Hosts can use Free games without an account. Other games require a host account and the relevant access.
Play in a current browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. A larger screen helps with images and matching. Use your usual video or voice call to talk; Fun Friday does not include a call. Everyone plays on their own device. Screen sharing is optional; keep private answers and roles off a shared screen.
The hosting button opens setup with Typing Sprint selected. Enter a display name or sign in if needed, then choose Create room. Invite colleagues with the link or code, check the settings and press Start when the group is ready. Opening setup creates no room.

A paragraph appears and everyone races to type it. Speed counts, accuracy counts, and the live positions make it unbearable in the best way.
It is the shortest game in the catalogue and the easiest to drop into the last five minutes of a call. There is no skill curve, no rules to explain, and a very clear winner.

Paragraphs are office-themed and written to be typed rather than read — no unusual punctuation to trip on, and paste is blocked server-side:
- “The meeting could have been an email, but here we are again, nodding at slides while someone asks if everyone can see their screen for the third time.”

When to run Typing Sprint
The last five minutes of a call
There is no skill curve, nothing to explain and a very clear winner. It is the shortest game in the catalogue and the easiest to drop in unplanned.
Settling a long-running office argument
Times are measured server-side and pasting is blocked, so the person who has been claiming 120 words per minute since 2019 finally has to demonstrate it in front of everyone.
A team that wants a rematch every week
Six modes change the game completely — precision, sudden death, no backspace, curveball and marathon alongside the classic race — so the same room can play it repeatedly without it going stale.

You can, but a physical keyboard is a real advantage. For mixed desktop-and-mobile groups, pick a game that does not reward typing speed.

Yes. Typing Sprint runs in the browser, separately from your call: start your Zoom, Teams or Google Meet meeting as usual, share the room code in the chat, and everyone plays on their own screen. Nothing needs installing or connecting to the call.
