Common questions
Does everyone need a Fun Friday account?
No. Only the person who adds the app to the server signs in. Players join from the button in the channel with just a display name.
What does the app do in my server?
It adds one slash command, /funfriday, and a Fun Friday member with no permissions. It never reads messages or member lists. When someone runs the command it posts a room code and a Join button, and that is all.
Is it free?
The same hosting entitlements apply to games started from Discord as on the website. During beta, accounts receive Pro access free: up to 30 players and unlimited sessions. No payment card is required. Guest hosts use the Free game list, up to 8 players and 2 sessions per week on this browser.
Who can start a game?
Anyone in the server. Only adding the app needs Manage Server.
Can I remove it?
Any time. Kick the app from your server in Discord, or unlink it from your team settings on funfriday.work.
